PTCI Usage Policies
Purpose of the PTCI infrastructure
The PTCI is a research resource for testing and executing large scale, parallel processing codes, visualizations and scientific applications. These policies govern access, use, and resources for all PTCI systems. This document has been written both as a policy statement and to instruct the user in the use of the PTCI infrastructure.
This page is intended to be the first document a PTCI user should read.
Terms and Conditions of Use
The use of PTCI resources is subject to PTCI's usage policies, as well as to UNamur computing usage policies. All users agree to abide by these rules. Failure to do so may result, after appropriate formal warning, in the suspension or termination of user access.
PTCI systems cannot be used for :
- Overloading or irrational use of PTCI and other resources
- Attempts to violate privacy
- Denial of Service attacks against PTCI and third party computers
- Attempted computer security breaches by PTCI and third parties
- Mass unsolicited email (spam)
- Illegal activities
- Copyright Infringement Activities
Illegal transgressions will be dealt with by the University of Namur and/or the judicial authorities.
Security
Users are responsible for maintaining the security of PTCI systems and resources. Login credentials belong to a specific individual and must not be shared under any circumstances.Login credentials must never be shared with others. Sharing credentials will result in loss of access for all parties involved.
Citation
Please reference PTCI in any research publication that requires citation of authors' work. Please refer to the citation page for examples.
